Frequently Asked Questions
Selecting the right contractor is arguably the most important decision you will have to make when making improvements to
your home. Here are some common questions that homeowners should ask when talking to a contractor:

What kind of experience do you have?
I started my business in the South Hills of Pittsburgh in 1978 when I was 19 years old. Thirty years later, Don Fennell Home
Remodeling has grown from a one-man operation to a well-respected contracting firm that employs Pittsburgh’s top talent.

What about references?  Can I talk to some of your past customers?
Absolutely! In fact, we encourage you to!  We will not only provide you with photos and contact information, but we’ll take you
right to their homes! Many of our delighted clients are eager to open their doors and show you the expert work we have
completed. Click here to review some of our recently completed projects.

Do you have insurance?
Yes. You can take comfort in the fact that we are a fully-insured, licensed, and bonded contracting firm.

What types of materials do you use?
We use only the highest quality materials with the best warranties. If there’s a specific product or material you would like to
use, we’ll work with you to find exactly what you desire.

How long will the work take?
We’ll give you an approximate time frame, but of course weather and unforeseen problems can factor into that completion
time. But rest assured, that once we start your project, we will stay on the job until it is complete.

Will you, yourself, be on the job site?
Of course! I’m not just the owner of Don Fennell Home Remodeling; I’m a laborer too! I still take the measurements; I still
pound the nails. You’ll see me first on the job site every day, reviewing the plans, and instructing my crew.
